Description Daniel Rusek 2026-08-03 14:54:04 UTC
Please consider updating the appstream-data package (for both F44 and Rawhide). It appears that the last update was in March.

Comment 1 Daniel Rusek 2026-09-15 20:05:50 UTC
Same issue on F45, switching to F45. This needs to be resolved before Final and ideally also in F44 and Rawhide.

Comment 2 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2026-09-15 20:12:55 UTC
Proposed as a Blocker and Freeze Exception for 45-final by Fedora user asciiwolf using the blocker tracking app because:

The last update of appstream-data was done in March 2026. AppStream metadata are a key part of the desktop experience and as such need to be updated regularly - or at least before the new Fedora release and several times throughout its lifecycle. Especially when there are new major versions of core GNOME apps and other important updates. Not doing so results in missing/broken app results in GNOME Software (KDE Discover) and other issues. Please update this package. Thanks!

Comment 3 Adam Williamson (Fedora) 2026-09-21 15:59:34 UTC
Sufficient votes in https://forge.fedoraproject.org/quality/blocker-review/issues/2179 for accepted FE, rejected blocker.
