Disclaimer: Community trackers are created by Red Hat Product Security team on a best effort basis. Package maintainers are required to ascertain if the flaw indeed affects their package, before starting the update process. A NULL pointer dereference flaw was found in libxml2 XML catalog parsing. When a catalog contains a nextCatalog element without the mandatory catalog attribute, xmlParseXMLCatalogOneNode() returns NULL, but the nextCatalog deduplication loop dereferences the entry before the existing NULL check, crashing the application.
