Plasma 6.7.5 FE Exception Tracker
Proposed as a Freeze Exception for 45-beta by Fedora user farchord using the blocker tracking app because: KDE Plasma 6.7.5 is a bugfix release, should probably land and have testing done on it.
FEDORA-2026-cbc2cb09b0 (aurorae-6.7.5-1.fc45, bluedevil-6.7.5-1.fc45, and 72 more) has been submitted as an update to Fedora 45. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-cbc2cb09b0
FEDORA-2026-cbc2cb09b0 has been pushed to the Fedora 45 testing repository. Soon you'll be able to install the update with the following command: `sudo dnf upgrade --enablerepo=updates-testing --refresh --advisory=FEDORA-2026-cbc2cb09b0` You can provide feedback for this update here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-cbc2cb09b0 See also https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for more information on how to test updates.
So, seems this was built with the older qt version, there's another qt version that is pending update: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-5013479509 and if both are installed, the desktop fails to build with private API errors. So: 1- This update is stuck until the qt update lands, and I have to rebuild a couple packages (kdeplasma-addons, plasma-workspace, powerdevil, layer-shell-qt) 2- And then it can land.
We merged the Qt6 update with this one. I've tested locally and it fixes the issue.
Now with the last changes in this upgrade all is fine again. fix confirmed. Kernel Version: 7.2.4-300.fc45.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon Graphics Memory: 24 GiB of RAM (22.8 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics
We signed off Beta-1.3 for release today, so this cannot be an FE any more.
Fair enough!
