Description Akira TAGOH 2026-09-10 09:04:06 UTC
After configuring input method, it works for basic applications but input method can't be activated at the search box in the menu. the search box stops responding once input method is activated at other apps and type something in the search box, even after deactivating.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install LXQt with Japanese locale for example
2.see https://github.com/ibus/ibus/wiki/WaylandDesktop#lxqt-desktop-environment-1 for reference to setup
3.login to LXQt
4.Press Super+space at the search box in the menu
5.Open qterminal and Super+space
6.type something at the search box in the menu
7.back to qterminal again and press Super+space
8.type something at the search box in the menu
Actual Results:
4.space character is put in the search box
5.Indicator at the panel will be changed from JA to あ
6.nothing happens
7.Indicator at the panel will be changed from あ to JA
8.nothing happens

Expected Results:
