Package maintainers are required to ascertain if the flaw indeed affects their package, before starting the update process. stb_vorbis through 1.22 contains a heap buffer overflow in start_decoder() where the codebook multiplicands allocation size is truncated from size_t to int. Attackers can craft a malicious Ogg Vorbis file with large entries and dimensions values to trigger out-of-bounds writes, causing process crashes or heap corruption.
This is fixed in: SDL_sound 2.0.6: https://github.com/icculus/SDL_sound/commit/1e4b1160fb40c4adfa51af960e3a9c0c93cc26d2 stb upstream PR link added, too.
