Description Lukáš Růžička (Fedora Quality) 2026-09-30 18:54:35 UTC
This is a tracking bug for the Blocker Review purposes. The original bug can be read here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2075894

I can reproduce the bug as well on my Fedora 45 Workstation Beta, with the same version of Firefox. I am not entirely sure that ChatGPT was the culprit, because I had multiple tabs opened when it crashed and I could not start Firefox again because it would always crash. I will update the bug when I have tested it, but I can confirm that the workaround `webgl.disabled=true` helps indeed and FF no longer crashes, with the same amount of tabs.

Reproducible: Always

Similar bug that matches my situation even better is here https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2076013, I had ChatGPT tab with a Mapbox in it. The workaround works for this, too.

Comment 2 Fedora Blocker Bugs Application 2026-09-30 18:58:37 UTC
Proposed as a Blocker for 45-final by Fedora user lruzicka using the blocker tracking app because:

I would like to propose this bug based on the Default application functionality criterion.

Comment 3 Lukáš Růžička (Fedora Quality) 2026-09-30 19:02:39 UTC
I can now confirm that this happens because of the ChatGPT tab (+Mapbox). Other tabs are fine.

Comment 4 Adam Williamson (Fedora) 2026-10-02 16:41:41 UTC
It's a feature!

Comment 5 Martin Stransky 2026-10-02 21:28:52 UTC
Let's track it upstream, not fedora specific.
