Description Osman Ahmadzai 2026-10-03 08:35:05 UTC
Spec URL: https://github.com/osmanahmadxai/beemr/releases/download/v0.2.2/beemr.spec
SRPM URL: https://github.com/osmanahmadxai/beemr/releases/download/v0.2.2/beemr-0.2.2-1.fc44.src.rpm
Description: beemr sends files and messages straight to another device, with no servers, accounts or setup. It connects directly when it can, punches through home and mobile NATs when it can't, and falls back to relaying through other beemr devices. Devices find each other through the BitTorrent Mainline DHT, and all traffic is end-to-end encrypted.

This is my first package and I need a sponsor. I am also the upstream author.

Notes:
- Rust application. Crate dependencies are bundled from the upstream vendor tarball (Windows-only crates removed with cargo-vendor-filterer) and declared with %cargo_vendor_manifest, following the approach used by e.g. bootc. The License tag lists the bundled crates' licenses from %cargo_license_summary.
- Builds offline with cargo-rpm-macros. rpmlint: 0 errors (only locale warnings from the build container).
- Upstream CI builds and lints this spec on fedora:latest for every release.
