Disclaimer: Community trackers are created by Red Hat Product Security team on a best effort basis. Package maintainers are required to ascertain if the flaw indeed affects their package, before starting the update process. IKE state is retained in memory after the client closes the connection storing a pointer to iface_endpoint inside ike_sa.sa->st_iface_endpoint. Once this invalid pointer is used, the daemon crashes. This can happen before the remote peer has authenticated itself. The option for IKE over TCP is not enabled by default. Only configurations that contain listen-tcp=yes are affected. Continued triggering of this vulnerability can lead to a denial of service. Remote code execution could be possible. Vulnerable versions : 4.0 up to and including 5.4 Not vulnerable : 5.4.1 and 5.3.3
