When it begins to detect hardware, my floppy drive /dev/fd0 is not
installed properly but the install continues. Then it brings up the
graphical mode. While still on the first screen the installer stop and has
an error unmounting the devices and tells me I can reboot. I have not been
able to get the installer past this point.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.I put the cd in and boot to it.
2.I run the regular installer

Actual Results: The error occurs and I can not continue the install. I
have to then reboot.

Expected Results: The installer should have continued and I should be able
to run redhat 7.1 beta.

My system is a ABIT VA6, with an overclocked PIII running at 616Mhz. I have
an s3 savage 4 videocard, a soundblaster 16 isa card, an iomega zip 250, an
iomega zipcd 650 usb, a 48x cdrom drive, 2 hard drives(10 Gigs and 13.6
Gigs), and a floppy drive.

We (Red Hat) should really fix this before next release

What are the exact messages that you get?

Comment 3 Tim Waugh 2001-02-05 19:17:04 UTC
Reporter says that the updated installer image fixes the problem. Closing.
