**** Machine now hung ****

1. kernel-enterprise-2.4.0-0.43.12 works (2.4.0-pre11)
2. I'm lazy, didn't take snapshot of 2.4.0-0.99.11 dying. It does,
at same spot as 99.5, here.
3. Hand-built kernels of 2.4.0 and 2.4.1 vintage also hang. The ac series,
   too.

Comment 1 LENHOF 2001-02-05 13:58:45 UTC
Try linux apm=off with lilo...

Regards
Jean-Yves

Comment 2 Glen Foster 2001-02-05 22:51:07 UTC
We (Red Hat) should really try hard to fix this before next release.

Comment 3 Michael K. Johnson 2001-02-08 21:30:42 UTC
ACPI has been disabled in our current kernel builds because it really
is not ready...
