Description of problem:

Cyrus IMAPd no longer allows me to login with plaintext, only SSL.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Version 2.3.9-6.fc6

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Updated to Version 2.3.9-6.fc6
  
Actual results:

Attempted connection from Thunderbird using port 143,
Authentication failed


Expected results:

Successful login, as prior to the update

Additional info:

Using version 2.3.9-6.fc6:

telnet localhost 143

Trying 127.0.0.1...

Connected to localhost.localdomain (127.0.0.1).

Escape character is '^]'.

Note LOGINDISABLED...

Using version 2.3.8-3.fc6:

telnet localhost 143

Workarounds:  revert to the previous rev or using port 993 (SSL).

does setting the allowplaintext option in imapd.conf help?

The change that probably introduced this is:

Yes that corrected the problem.

Adds:  AUTH=PLAIN SASL-IR to the capability list.
