I'm planning to update EL-5 to 0.81 which contains a fix soonish. Thorsten can possibly comment on what the plans for EL-4 are (I'm not aware of any grave incompatibilities nor why it wouldn't work on EL-4 too, but I can't test it).
Fixed in rpmlint-0.81-2.el5 (currently in the testing repo).
