Upgrade rc1 (wolverine) to rc2. System is a Dell Workstation 410 with cs4232 sound on the mobo. After the upgrade, kudzu reran sndconfig three times. After this, everything seems to work. The resulting /etc/modules.conf is alias sound-slot-0 cs4232 post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S options sound dmabuf=1 alias synth0 opl3 options opl3 io=0x388 options cs4232 io=0x534 irq=5 dma=1 dma2=0 mpuio=0x330 mpuirq=5
The three runs are for the following "devices": 1. CS4236B:Ctrl 2. CS4236B:Game 3. CS4236B:WSS/B but it appears that each time CS4236B:Ctrl is the configured device.
OK, I know what's going on here. This is going to be a mess to fix, though; we may just have to disable kudzu running sndconfig for non-native PnP stuff.
This disabling will be done in kudzu-0.97.5-1; you should still be able to run sndconfig to set it up. When native isapnp support is added to the cs4232 driver, kudzu should be able to set it up automatically.
