Description bcmatt 1999-06-14 19:01:32 UTC
Installing imap-4.5-3 rpm on an intel version of RedHat v6.0
does not uncomment the imapd, ipop2d, and ipop3d services in
/etc/inetd.conf. While this might not be considered a bug
to some, previous versions of redhat have always uncommented
these services after installing the imap/pop server.

Comment 1 Jeff Johnson 1999-06-14 20:04:59 UTC
Automatically uncommenting inetd entries for imap, ipop3 and ipop2
needlessly (only mail servers should run these services) expose Red
Hat customers to imap security holes.
