Description of problem: system-config-display seems to unconditionally set the keyboard to "us+inet" on "plain" keyboards. Previously it was set to "us". I haven't found this change described anywhere. If this report doesn't serve any other purpose it will at least document the change. Is the change intentional? kbd(4) suggests using "us" and doesn't list "us+inet" which thus is undocumented. So what does it mean? Extended keyboard with "email" button etc? When starting gnome with a new value of this setting a very confusing and impossible-to-guess question is asked. If the change is intentional, then automatic migration for gnome should be made. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): system-config-display-1.0.51-4.fc8 Steps to Reproduce: remove xorg.conf and start system-config-display or otherwise trig a reconfig
Fixed in F9, the keyboard defaults are done elsewhere.
