From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows 98; Win 9x 4.90) In RedHat 7.1 along with mandrake 8.0, most images have some sort of multicolored, garbled, corrupted look. Some images such as icons on the desktop do not have this corrupted look but all destkop background images do along with most images on web pages (especially background images) and some other varius images that you see. The mouse is also offset to the right about half of an inch. Some times it has a bunch of gray dots forming a rectangle. The rectangle moves along with the mouse and the top center of it orients with the tip of the mouse cursor. You can not move the mouse cursor any farther to the left then the left edge of the gray blob that overlays the mouse cursor. You can move the mouse past the right edge of the screen the same amount that you cannot move to the left side. Neither of these problems were experienced with mandrake 7.2--the only other distribution I've ever got to work. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run X 2. 3. Actual Results: corrupted graphics and a mousing area that is offset to the right from the screen image approximately 1/2 inch Expected Results: graphics to look like they are supposed to and the mousing surface to be alligned with the display. Athlon t-bird, 256 mb kingmax pc-133 tinybga, S3 ViperII (savage2000 chipset), logitech optical wheel mouse, generic 15" monitor. Everything is perfectly stable and with a little skill you can learn to operate the mouse "correctly", but especially when viewing web sites, the graphical corruption to images makes it impossible.
