When simply installing Linux on a laptop (HP XE3 with a currently redhat 
5.2 and windows 98 :( installed), Anaconda crashes at line 33
reporting: 

Syntax error: syslog:SysLogD(root, new Object
Error at line 33

I have so tried this CD on another PC, the same bug appears!!
What is this problem, is it well known?

Sounds like you have a bad cd or something got corrupted during your download. I
suggest that you re-download and try again.  (You might try using a different
ftp site too.)  Please reopen this bug if the problem appears again.
