if i try to open a new log file (that's empty) system-logviewer says it's not a log file and refuses to open it. so i have to sit around waiting for something to get logged before i can try to open it again. suggest either an 'open anyway' option or else (and preferably) assume empty files are valid and pop-up a notification or error message (and remove from the list) if it turns out to be invalid when something gets written to it. maybe empty files should appear disabled or in (brackets) in the list.
system-logviewer has been deprecated and not shipped since Rawhide just following FC-3. Please use the program that ships with GNOME now and can be found on the menu Applications > System Tools > System Log.
