Description tpoindex 1999-06-29 05:48:55 UTC
Hardware: Maximus MediaNote laptop, 100mhz i586,
internal Philips 2x CD-Rom with Future Domain
           TM-36C70 PCI SCSI controller

RedHat 6.0

Installer chokes on trying to autoprobe SCSI device with
error "panic - fdomain.o queue NOT REENTRANT, in interrupt,
not syncing" kernel panics and must manually re-boot.

Device is also not recognized with any combination of manual
options, both trying new style "setup_called=1 ... etc." and
older style "0xf800,10,7"

This device works perfectly with RedHat 5.2, and autoprobes
correctly to find the device at io port at 0xf800, interrupt
10, using the fdomain.o driver.

I am able to load RH 5.2, but not RH 6.0 from the CD-Rom.
