Filed in wrong component. Changing to XFree86. XFree86-Servers is only for 3.3.6...

Also, don't know if you know it or not, but DRI is only supported in 16 and 32 fbbpp modes. Could be a problem with 3D screensavers perhaps. Try disabling them.
Also try disabling DRI. Does this fix it? If so, does depth 16 with DRI work?
