We have not been able to reproduce this in our test lab. Also we use pump and dhcp on most of our internal workstations and have not seen any slowdown caused by it. I had the same problem with the dialup to my ISP. The fix (in my case, anyway) was to use the new version of pump and to alias the compression modules in /etc/conf.modules. alias ppp-compress-21 bsd_comp alias ppp-compress-26 ppp_deflate alias ppp-compress-24 ppp_deflate I went from an average of 5 min logins to my isp not being happy. ;) |
