Description of problem: Here's what gets added to persistent-net-generator.rules once I plug in the cardbus ralink 2560 adapter. # PCI device 0x1814:0x0201 (rt2500pci) SUBSYSTEM=="net", ACTION=="add", ATTR{type}=="1", NAME="wlan0" Obviously as the ATTR{address} is missing so this matches more interfaces than it should, notably the bridges. After reboot, all of my bridges get renamed to wlan0* In 'ifconfig' output, I can see the hardware address. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): udev-116-3.fc8 kernel-2.6.23.8-63.fc8 kernel-2.6.23.10-97.fc8
Please update to udev-118, remove /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules and reboot. If /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules still has no ATTR{address}, then we need to investigate more.
