Description of problem:
I run system-config-soundcard but I always got the same result "No soundcards
were detected".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Alsa Lib package: alsa-lib-1.0.15-1.fc8
Alsa Util package: alsa-utils-1.0.15-1.fc8

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run soundcard detection either by running /usr/bin/system-config-soundcard or
via "System", "Administration", "Soundcard Detection"

Actual results:
No soundcards were detected
In system tab of the audio configuration the "Default audio card" and "Default
PCM device" lists are both empty.
There's no cards name in the "Audio cards order" aswell

Expected results:

Additional info:
Attached is the report generated by system-config-soundcard.

I had tried installing the Redhat 9.0 on this same laptop (Tecra 8000) earlier
and it had the same problem. Windows XP had detected the soundcard and music was
being played.

Please report it at ALSA project - www.alsa-project.org. You card desn't seem to
be supported by this sound system.
