Description of problem: OpenOffice Java dependencies are not correct. Why should OpenOffice a wordprocessor have java dependencies with Tomcat, Eclipse and other Server based java packages. OpenOffice should only be dependent on the JDK. Some how by breaking the packages up small (BSF and BSH?) cyclic dependencies were introduced. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install Open Office 2.Install Tomcat5-jsp-2.0-api 3.Remove Tomcat5-jsp-2.0-api and OpenOffice uninstalls Actual results: Expected results: OpenOffice should not need Tomcat5 etc installed on a desktop. Additional info:
OpenOffice.org's java dependencies are not incorrect. OOo requires bsh, that's correct. bsh them itself requires bsf and bsf then itself requires tomcat5-jsp-2.0-api if you want to take it up with the maintainers of bsh, bsf to see if their dependencies are correct/incorrect then go ahead, but the require on bsh is correct
