Description Lubomir Kundrak 2008-03-06 09:54:29 UTC
Description of problem:

Kernel generated an oops message when I try to activate the wireless interface.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Linux gopher 2.6.24.3-12.fc8 #1 SMP Tue Feb 26 14:21:30 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64
x86_64 GNU/Linux

How reproducible:

Reliably

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Insert the rt73 usb wifi adapter
2. try to turn the interface on

Actual results:

Ooops, see the attachment

Additional info:

I think this doesn't happen on i386, but the driver doesn't work with the
hardware for some other reason. Don't have a i386 handy though.

The hardware is this:

Bus 001 Device 005: ID 148f:2573 Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2501USB Wireless Adapter

I see a lot of rt2x00 related fixes, I'll try a newer kernel.

Comment 3 Lubomir Kundrak 2008-03-06 11:41:36 UTC
So it no longer oopses, pardon for the noise.
It is not working though #436285
