Description of problem:

i965. no xorg.conf present

Boot a recent kernel with 'i915.modeset=1'. On udev module load, this triggers a
modesetting into a framebuffer (1680x1050 in this case, Dell 2005FPW).

X then tries to start, and fails:

Every time
