Description of problem: This is more of a question than a bug. Given the attached .ps and an incantation like: /usr/lib/cups/filter/pstops 185 user title 1 "number-up=4 PageSize=A4 orientation-requested=4" cupsprint.ps > output.ps Then the output.ps has each subpage clipped to a landscape portion of the original page. So we can make this happen in e.g. writer with the gtk unix print dialog and nups 4 and selecting the "landscape" output with portrait input pages, and I'm wondering if this is a bug, or just the way it has to be, and if any action should be taken on the OOo or cups side.

I'm not really sure those options make sense. Here's a representation of the input: +---+ +---+ +---+ |ONE| |TWO| |333| |ONE| |TWO| |333| |ONE| |TWO| |333| +---+ +---+ +---+ and here's a representation of the output we get: +----------+ |ONE TWO | |ONE TWO | | | |333 | |333 | | | | | +----------+ Without 'orientation-requested=4' I would expect the output to be exactly as above but without the cropping, i.e. four "virtual" portrait pages entirely covering the area of the physical page, to be seen in portrait. Can you draw what you expect the output to be when 'orientation-requested=4' is set?
Changing version to '9' as part of upcoming Fedora 9 GA. More information and reason for this action is here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping
