Description of problem: In the /etc/rsyncd.conf there is: [data] path = /mnt/data pre-xfer exec = mount /mnt/data post-xfer exec = umount /mnt/data ... etc ... The daemon mounts and umounts the filesystem as requested but is serves the original /mnt/data directory as if the /mnt/data filesystem wasn't there. It probably opens the directory specified by the path option before running the pre-xfer command. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rsync-2.6.9-3.2.fc8.x86_64 How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. configure and start rsyncd as described 2. # rsync localhost::data Actual results: contents of /mnt/data (usually an empty dir) on the root filesystem is shown Expected results: contents of the mounted filesystem should be shown
