Description of problem: It seems even with the consolidation of dictionaries in Fedora 9, it still does not have OpenOffice.org included in the GNOME live CD for i386. Other distributions have been including OpenOffice.org even with languages in Live CDs for years now. For example, Ubuntu has always included OpenOffice.org in its Desktop GNOME Live CD. It's even installable and has language selection! Why can't Fedora do the same thing? I hope this is something that can be resolved....
A live image with our current selection of packages but OOo switched in place of abiword + gnumeric runs about 800 megs (I actually looked at this today for other reasons). So it's not really feasible to add without nuking a lot of stuff. As for other distros -- different tradeoffs are made in terms of hardware support, language support, fonts, etc
