Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 439984
backport mkswap -U
Last modified: 2008-04-02 10:32:23 EDT
Description of problem:
F9 mkswap(8) doesn't support the option -U <uuid> and it generates a new UUID
only. That's bad when your swap area (with old swsuspend data) is reinitialized
by swapon(8). The UUID has to be persistent.
The problem has been fixed in upstream code and we need to backport it to F9.
