Description Martin Sourada 2008-04-01 20:33:28 UTC
Description of problem:
When I find clips on youtube via the totem youtube plugin and add them to
playlist some of them does not play with this error poping out:

Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
totem-2.23.0-6.fc9.i386

How reproducible:
Hopefully always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the youbtube plug-in in totem
2. search for horowitz traumerei
3. try to play
http://www.youtube.com/get_video?video_id=qq7ncjhSqtk&t=OEgsToPDskJ5uOXeccIsHUfeuQMS4kTN
(titled Horowitz plays Schumann Traumerei in Moscow, it's the first hit for me)

Actual results:
error dialog pops out complaing it cannot open the file:
Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file.

Expected results:
File opens and plays successfully.

Additional info:
Seems the same videos work in totem browser plug-in (opened using the location
available on right-click in the youtube totem interface).

Comment 1 Bastien Nocera 2008-04-02 16:58:27 UTC
It's gnome-vfs not following redirects (not all videos use redirects on YouTube).
