Description Jesse Keating 2008-04-29 15:07:06 UTC
Pretty frequently when I'm trying to suspend, package kit will be in the middle
of some refresh or another, and an attempt to suspend will wind up failing with
the loud beeping. Of course, there doesn't seem to be any log output of why the
suspend fails, I just eventually narrowed it down to PackageKit by killing the
daemon and being able to suspend.

Can we please fix this for 9, this will hit a lot of people and cause a lot of
anger.

When it does not allow you to reboot - what is the output of the pkmon command?
I can't reproduce. Thanks.

I can reproduce with master. I'll fix this tonight/tmw.

Richard.

Can you re-test with http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=47839
please. Thanks.

Comment 5 Jesse Keating 2008-05-02 12:11:16 UTC
With that build I was able to successfully suspend while getting information
about updates.
