Description Ralf Corsepius 2008-05-14 04:55:44 UTC
Description of problem:
While yum upgrading FC8->FC9, I am observing this cryptic message from selinux:
...
  Cleanup : selinux-policy-targeted ################### [1209/1499]
unconfined_u unconfined s0 s0-s0:c0.c1023 system_r
unconfined_r
...

No idea what selinux is trying to say, here.

I would guess (wild guess) this is likely caused by a missing/broken
IO-redirection (selinux, yum, rpm, auditd, python? I don't know).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
selinux-policy-targeted-3.3.1-42.fc9
rsp.
selinux-policy-targeted-3.0.8-101.fc8

Yes I have not seen this. Please show me the output of
# semanage user -l
# semanage login -l

On Fedora 9 after upgrade.

I can't - After having been facing further issues with SELinux, I initially
switched it off and meanwhile entirely removed SELinux from this machine.

Ok I am closing this as NOTABUG for now. If you turn SELinux back on, please
attach that info.

BTW What other issues did you see?

Long series of selinux messages during and after the upgrade. I should be able
to find some of them in this machine's /var/log/messages (should I manage to get
networking functional - NM killed it.)
