Description pucko 2008-05-20 14:50:15 UTC
Description of problem:
After editing fstab like explained here:
http://fedoraguide.info/index.php/Main_Page#How_to_view_NTFS_partitions
i managed to mount my ntfs partitions (i see them in /mnt/, and i am able to
browse and use partitions files). But, the mounted partition is not shown in
'places' menu nor in 'computer'. After editing fstab, the old (un-mounted) icon
does not appear any more, nor does the mounted icon (which now should be seen).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Gnome 2.22.1

How reproducible:
Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.boot fedora 9
2.login to gnome
3.open 'Computer' or 'places' menu

Actual results:
Un-mounted nor mounted partition icon appear under 'places' menu nor in 'computer'

Expected results:
Being able to enter mounted partitions through 'places' menu and 'computer'.

Additional info:

gvfs only shows mounts in /media and in ~/. If you want to see your mounts, just
mount them there.
