I'm pretty sure this is a duplicate of bug 430946. This is a server side bug.
What kernel was the server running here?

Comment 2 Jeff Layton 2008-05-28 16:30:26 UTC
Also...

> Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
> 2.4.21-70.EL

I presume you mean 2.6.9-70.EL ?

Comment 3 Joshua Giles 2008-05-28 18:37:20 UTC
Yes of course 2.6.9-70.EL; RHEL4.7. Excuse the confusion.

Comment 4 Jeff Layton 2008-05-28 20:37:54 UTC
Thanks for clarifying that. I still need to know what kernel the NFS server was
running in this case. This sounds like a known bug, so if it's anything before
-68.17.EL then it's likely a dupe of bug 430946.

Comment 5 Joshua Giles 2008-05-30 13:37:46 UTC
The rhel4 nfs server is currently running:
2.6.9-67.0.3.ELsmp kernel. The following subtests failed against that server:

/kernel/filesystems/nfs/connectathon/netapp-nfs
/kernel/filesystems/nfs/connectathon/rhel4-nfs/nfsvers=2_udp/base
/kernel/filesystems/nfs/connectathon/netapp-nfs/nfsvers=4/general
/kernel/filesystems/nfs/connectathon/netapp-nfs/nfsvers=4/lock

I'll put the latest stable version on that box and run the tests once again to
ensure this solves the problem.

Comment 6 Jeff Layton 2008-05-30 13:52:40 UTC
The NFS4 failures look like they might be dupes of bug 432861, which we're
pretty sure is a bug in OnTap and NOTABUG for RHEL.

Comment 7 Jeff Layton 2008-06-01 20:15:58 UTC
Setting to NEEDINFO pending results with an updated server kernel.

Comment 8 Joshua Giles 2008-06-03 14:46:28 UTC
With server version at 2.6.9-71.EL all but the netapp-nfs test passed.

Comment 9 Joshua Giles 2008-06-03 14:50:06 UTC
The only failure left is the netapp which I will concede is most likely related
to bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=432861. Therefore, please
close as fixed in the latest kernel.
