Description Juan A. Burgos 2008-05-22 20:12:20 UTC
Yum fails to install freenx-server complaining:

--> Missing Dependency: /usr/lib64/nx is needed by package
freenx-server-0.7.2-8.fc9.x86_64 (updates)
Error: Missing Dependency: /usr/lib64/nx is needed by package
freenx-server-0.7.2-8.fc9.x86_64 (updates)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. yum install freenx-server

This happens because there is no 64 bits support from nx package. For an unknown
reason, the first compilation of /nxcompshad is made without -fPIC. If you enter
in this directory and type "make clean", everything goes fine and you are
capable of install the package.

Is necessary to edit nx.spec file and fix the compiling process manually.

Thanks, I'll try that.
