Description of problem: ---- # yum remove kdepim-devel <snip depsolving> ============================================================================= Package Arch Version Repository Size ============================================================================= Removing: kdepim-devel i386 6:4.0.72-1.fc10 installed 790 k Removing for dependencies: kdepim i386 6:4.0.72-1.fc10 installed 22 M kdepim-libs i386 6:4.0.72-1.fc10 installed 20 M --- This is IMHO wrong..removing a -devel subpackage should not result in having the runtime removed. This is because kdepim requires /usr/lib/libkpilot_conduit_base.so which is the -devel subpackage, but if it's a runtime dependency (I have no idea if it is..), it should be moved out of -devel. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): # rpm -qa kdepim\* kdepimlibs-4.0.72-2.fc10.i386 kdepim-devel-4.0.72-1.fc10.i386 kdepim-libs-4.0.72-1.fc10.i386 kdepim-4.0.72-1.fc10.i386
Uh, actually no, we don't want this to block the KDE41 tracker, as this is kdepim and we won't push kdepim 4 to F9. Sorry for the noise.
