Description of problem: The package description of Linux Kernel says (Refer https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/name/kernel): "The Linux kernel (the core of the Linux operating system) The kernel package contains the Linux kernel (vmlinuz), the core of any Linux operating system. The kernel handles the basic functions of the operating system: memory allocation, process allocation, device input and output, etc." Please don't use the name Linux for both Kernel and Operating system. Other than the core, there is nothing more in the Operating system with the name 'Linux'. Calling the Operating system as Linux is wrong at least when we are describing a package that contains the 'Linux kernel' How reproducible: See the package description of the Linux kernel in Fedora. Or just visit https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/name/kernel Actual results: "Linux" is used both kernel and operating system while describing the Linux kernel Expected results: Correct package description. Use Linux for Linux Kernel. The context refers to multiple Linux distributions. There is nothing that needs changing here.
Can it be changed to "the core of the Linux-based operating system"? I would prefer GNU/Linux to Linux-based, but Linux-based would be a better compromise between "Linux" and "GNU/Linux" camps.
