Description of Problem: I am filing this on behalf of a user. I have Cc:d him to this bug report. Random lock-ups anytime after four or five hours. How Reproducible: Happens once a day under normal use. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot up (Web, SSH, TFTP servers) 2. Let it go under normal use 3. Locks up within 24 hours... Actual Results: The system randomly locks. Expected Results: Expects the server to last longer than a day before going down. Additional Information: Could find nothing consistant in the log files. This is a lightly used server. Also if the machine is used for compiling software, it freezes three out of four times. Please query user if you need more info on hardware. Thanks, Johnray
1) lspci output would be very useful to get a general idea of the hardware 2) is this anything regular ? (eg every day around the same time)

What is consistant is that it happens in less than 24 hours but not at the same time of day or hour each time.
Could you please try the 2.4.3-12 errata kernel that was released last friday ? This updated kernel has countless bugfixes so it's worth trying.
