Description of problem: If preferred language is Japanese (not English), custom errata cannot be created because of the internal error. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): rhn-satellite-5.1.0-181-redhat-linux-as-i386-4-embedded-oracle.iso How reproducible: always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Login RHN Satellite web (the preferred lang of web browser is Japanese) 2. [Errata] -> [Manage Errata] 3. [create new erratum] 4. Fill out the forms and try to create an errata Actual results: Internal error Expected results: An errata is successfully created. Additional info: If preferred lang is English and fill out the forms (with same values), no problem occurs. It seems that l10n-ed [Advisory Type] drop down menu item in the errata creation form causes this issue.
Please take a look at bz#454312 also. My patch for that bz was just merged. I'm not sure but I guess that this is exactly the same problem.
As Bug 454312 has been modified already in Spacewalk, and everything in Spacewalk 0.2 will land in Satellite 5.3, aligning against Satellite 5.3 as a blocker.
works for Japanese font in sw0.4 and sat530 for the advisory type. moving to modified as it appears the fix is in.
tested with Satellite-5.3.0-RHEL5-re20081223.1-i386 Procedure Followed: 1. Change preference of page display language in firefox to japanese. 2. Go to manage errata page 3. create test errata test-japanese-errata Errata was successfully created and shows up in unpublished errata. ~SayliK
