Description Christoph Wickert 2008-06-13 19:34:26 UTC
Description of problem:
Suspend is seriously broken on Asus Laptops in F9. After entering suspend the
laptop does not wake up again.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-2.6.25.6-55.fc9.i686 as well as previous
kernel-2.6.25.4-30.fc9.i686

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install F9 on an Asus laptop (mine is an ASUS F3P)
2. Suspend with g-p-m or with the suspend button of the keyboard.

Actual results:
The laptop does not wake up from suspend. Although the fan starts up the system
does not boot. No hdd activity, none of the other LEDs for wireless or bluetooth
turn on and the screen remains blank.

Expected results:
The laptop should wake up from suspend within a few seconds like it did with F8.

Additional info:
asus_laptop is loaded automatically. On F8 I had to load the module manually,
but then everything worked perfectly.
