Description Chris Kloiber 2001-06-20 18:58:03 UTC
Description of Problem:

Since the modutils package started requiring the use of /etc/modules.conf
instead of /etc/conf.modules, sndconfig is broken since it writes only to
/etc/conf.modules. This should be a trivial fix, but an errata package
would be nice.

How Reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Run sndconfig to install a soud card after upgrading modutils.

Actual Results:

Seems to work, but writes to /etc/conf.modules. Subsequent attempts to run
sndconfig fail, and cause error messages at boot stating that
/etc/conf.modules is depreciated and ignored.

Expected Results:

Sndconfig should correctly update /etc/modules.conf

Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2001-06-20 19:17:37 UTC
?

If you're requiring modules.conf, you're running the *wrong* modutils for 6.2.
