Description PC Sien 2008-06-18 19:40:36 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.14) Gecko/20080404 Firefox/2.0.0.14

Description of problem:
Eclipse 3.3.2 was working fine until this morning when the update manager installed the following updates:
 xulrunner.i386 0:1.9-1.fc9
 xulrunner-devel.i386 0:1.9-1.fc9

Eclipse crashes when I try to edit the java source. The crash happens after short while (a minute or so) of editing, and some times it crashes faster.

After I uninstall xulrunner and xulrunner-devel, Eclipse is happy again.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xulrunner.i386 0:1.9-1.fc9, kernel 2.6.25.3-18.fc9.i686

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Eclipse (installed from zip - not rpm)
2. Update xulrunner with yum or Update Manager
3. Edit some java file in eclipse, and continue until crash

Actual Results:
Got dump file.
It is attached.

Expected Results:
it should not crash!

We can't support upstream zips and this bug doesn't seem to be present in the
packages we have in Fedora :)

Try a newer release from eclipse.org. There's this bug which may be related:
