Description Thomas R. Hall 1999-08-15 02:59:58 UTC
I installed RHL 6 on a new machine using the standard U.S.
keyboard layout. When I attempted to use kbdconfig to
change the layout, it set /etc/sysconfig/keyboard, but the
changes did not take effect.

I have the dvorak keyboard layout working in X, but cannot
get it to work at the console.

Comment 1 Preston Brown 1999-08-23 15:15:59 UTC
bill, this is because there is /usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/dvorak, the
directory, and /usr/lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/dvorak/dvorak.kmap.gz, the
keymap. I think a newer console-tools might be in order.

Comment 2 Bill Nottingham 1999-08-23 18:28:59 UTC
fixed in console-tools-199903020-16, which will be in next
Raw Hide.
