Description Jonathan Underwood 2008-06-25 11:53:53 UTC
Description of problem:

If I have firefox running in a VNC session, I cannot start firefox in my normal
X session, and vice versa. In either case I get the dialogue box which says:

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you
must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
firefox-3.0-1.fc9.x86_64

How reproducible:
Everytime

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start a VNC session on your machine, and in that session start firefox
2.In a normal (console) X session, try and start firefox - it doesn't start.
3.

Actual results:
No firefox

Expected results:
A new instance of firefox starting in each session

Unfortunately, this is not bug, but a feature. I may not like it but it doesn't
help me. The workaround is to use -no-remote parameter of running firefox.

If you think it is wrong, file bug upstream (http://bugzilla.mozilla.org), but
unfortunately we cannot fix it here.
