Description of problem:

on "Kernel 2.6.25.9-40.fc8 #1 SMP Fri Jun 27 16:25:53 EDT 2008 i686 athlon i386
GNU/Linux" extracting audio with ffmpeg leads to Kernel Oops.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Boot into Kernel
2. launch ffmpeg to extract some audio from a avi
3. wait a few seconds while encoding
  
Actual results:

Kernel Oops, X destroyed and restarted

Expected results:

continuous encoding

there's been a number of strange crashes lately with the nvidia module loaded. 
unfortunatly we don't have the source, so we can't fix it, or even investigate
it further.

kqemu, vboxdrv and vmnet/vmmon loaded. Also madwifi.
