From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061712 Fedora/3.0-1.fc9 Firefox/3.0 Description of problem: There is no "show desktop" button on the KDE panel. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): extragear-plasma-4.0.1-5.fc9.i386 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run preupgrade to upgrade from Fedora 8 to Fedora 9. 2. Look for the "show desktop" button and all your quick start buttons on the panel - they're gone! Actual Results: No "show desktop" button, no quick start buttons. Expected Results: A "show desktop" button, quick start buttons. Additional info: If upstream thinks that removing desktop elements is a good idea, then by all means they should change the default configuration, but still allow users to choose what they prefer. Sound configuration seems to have disappeared as well. I've also submitted bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=455293 as kweather seems to have also failed to jump the gap between F8 and F9.
CANTFIX (not a kde4 feature yet). Yet, if you'd like to see this in kde, bugs.kde.org is the correct place for feature requests.
Or, if unsure whether a particular feature is supported in kde4 yet or not, please take advantage of various fedora/kde forums or mailing lists first.
