Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 457074
pygame should require numpy, not numeric
Last modified: 2008-09-17 12:23:22 EDT
Pygame-1.8.0 allows backend use of either NumPy or Numeric, whereas previous
versions had a hard requirement on Numeric.
Numeric is no longer maintained and is being phased out. Please update the
requires to use numpy instead (we did this in the OLPC-3 branch).
Also, is there any reason why pygame-1.8 has not been put in the F-9 branch?
pygame-1.8.0-2.fc9 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 9.
