Description of problem:
I have an 64bit machine with an ATI radeon HD 3650 card. I am trying to boot the fedora 10 alpha cd.
Live cd boot, but i am left with a blanks screen. I can switch to a virtual terminal. If i run top i see that gnome seems to be running (nautilus, gnome-panel etc) i even got the startup sound

Fedora release 9.90.1 (Rawhide)
Kernel 2.6.27-0.166.rc0.git8.fc10.x86_64 on an x86_64
xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.8.0-14.fc9.x86_64
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.4.99.905-2.20080701.fc10.x86_64

How reproducible:
every time (similar result on Ubuntu and debian, though i can't switch to a VT with them)

Steps to Reproduce:
1. boot live cd
  
Actual results:
Blank screen

Expected results:
Pretty fedora artwork
