Description Ray Strode [halfline] 2008-09-15 19:47:43 UTC
After the beta, we're going to want to enable a smooth transition between plymouth and gdm.

plymouth and gdm will need to start on the same vt as each other and plymouth will need to tell gdm to start the X server with -nr instead of -br.

plymouth should only do it though, if gdm is going to run.

So I think we need something like the above attachment.

Note currently plymouth doesn't have the --retain-splash option. I'll be fixing that today, but none of this should go in the beta.
